Commissions

  • Email or call to discuss your project, installation, and budget
  • Next, I will meet with you in person (if you are local) to look at and measure the proposed installation
    site, discuss design ideas and look at preliminary sketches.  I charge $100.00 (local projects) fee for
    this consultation.  If you are out of the local area, I will work with your architect and/or professional tile
    installer by phone and email.
  • Project design time is billed at $75.00 per hour.
  • A project outline will be written up to include a design to scale, color or stain samples, explanation of
    the process, fees, and delivery dates - A 50% deposit is required before work is commenced.
  • Cost for original carving of tiles or murals usually range from $200.00 to $300.00 per square foot for
    relief carving.  See Custom Orders for individual tile prices.
  • An additional fee will be charged for a plaster mold for reproducing tiles.  If your order includes more
    than 30 additional tiles, a fee will be charged for producing a rubber master mold from which additional
    plaster molds will be made to ensure that the integrity of the original carving is preserved.
  • If you do not wish to have exclusive use of the mold, and if it is a design I would like to use, 50% will be
    deducted from the price for custom carving.
  • When your order is complete, packaged, and delivery arranged, final payment is due.
  • It is highly recommended that you hire an experienced, licensed tile setter to assist in installation of
    your project.
